Welding-gas and industrial-gas suppliers are easy to find around the Twin Cities and in the regional centres. Around $300 for a 200 cubic foot tank.
A blimp fills with about 170 cubic feet, roughly $255. If you are flying a season rather than year round, you will use noticeably less than a Florida operator would.
Storage between seasons
Deflate it, fold it at room temperature, and put it back in the carton it shipped in. Store it somewhere dry and not freezing if you can, though cold storage does not harm polyurethane as long as you do not handle it frozen.
That is the whole winterisation procedure. There is nothing to service and nothing to replace.
Why does it sag in winter?
Gas contracts in cold. It firms up as the day warms. Not a leak.
Will cold crack it?
Not polyurethane. Do not fold or unfold it while frozen, though.
Can I fly it year round?
Physically yes. Most Minnesota owners fly it spring to autumn plus a seasonal run.
Is artwork included?
On the blimp, yes. Both sides, full colour.
Do you service Minnesota?
No. Service is greater Phoenix and Tucson only. We ship anywhere.
